CMSC will be runing a Fall session (Oct 1/24 - Jan 31/25) and a Spring session (Feb1/25 - May 31/25) for the 2024-2025 season. Both sessions are at Spray Lakes Sports Centre (SLS Centre) in the lap pool.  If there is enough interest, a June Session will scheduled.

Masters Training
Masters training is CMSC's regular training practices. The focus of these practices are on the four competitive swim strokes used in competitive swimming: Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly. Our coaches will provide a structure practice with exercises and drills.  The coaches will also provide feedback on your technique and how to improve your strokes. There is also instruction on how to dive from the starting blocks and turns for each stroke. These training practices are for any adults (18 yrs or older) who can already swim at least 50 meters without stopping through to competitive swimmers wanting to compete in competition.  Swimmers are generally assigned to a swim lane with swimmers of similar speed and capabilities. The goal of CMSC is for swimmers to get an excellent workout while having fun.
An add-on 1/2 hr Competitive practice is scheduled for Monday evenings (8:30pm-9:00pm) following regular Masters Training.  This practice is for swimmers who are interested in competition and would like to practice starts, turns and other competitive skills/strategies.

Introduction to Masters
Introduction to Masters training is CMSC's introduction to competitive training practices. These introductory training practices are for any adults (18 yrs or older) who can already swim at least 50 meters without stopping and are not geared to swimmers who are skilled swimmers already. These sessions are only 1/2 hour in length with a very limited number of swimmers in a single lane to allow for more personalized coaching. Once a new swimmer becomes more capable they are encouraged to participate in the regular Masters swimming practices. The goal of CMSC is for swimmers to get an excellent workout while having fun.
